The most important building and symbol of the city is the Great Mosque of Cordoba that is the current cathedral, and together with the Roman bridge, are the best known interest points in the city. Also, the Jewish quarter, home to one of the three significant synagogues remaining in Spain, is the best-known part of Cordoba’s historic centre.
